Best Football Bets of the Weekend👇

This weekend edges the Premier League season just past the quarter mark. Just as the competition is starting to heat up, there’s plenty to look forward to with Manchester United vs Chelsea headlining this gameweek’s fixtures.

Our tips will consist of the following categories:

· The Banker – A bet with shorter odds that is typically, statistically, more likely to happen.

· The Earner – An upgrade on the banker that holds more potential profit, at a greater risk.

· The Long Shot – A bet with longer odds that aims to secure significant profit but as the name suggests, is often difficult to pull off.

· The Accumulator – A combination of often shorter odd bets to create a longer, more profitable accumulator.

The Banker - 6/5

Alexander Isak & Bukayo Saka both to have a shot on target (6/5)

Arsenal will be seeking revenge for their narrow loss at St James Park last season that caused plenty of controversy in the early kick off this weekend.

The visitors average the 3rd highest rate of shots on target per 90 in the Premier League this season with captain, Bukayo Saka, remaining top of Arsenal’s list for shots on target per 90 with 1.66 (out of players who’ve played more than two games).

Saka has recorded at least one shot on target in all of his previous three games, scoring in his last two.

Despite Newcastle suffering a slow start to the season and languishing around the bottom of the Premier League’s shots on target per game charts, Alexander Isak remains a dangerous outlet for the Magpies.

The Swede is working his way back into form, etching his name back onto the scoresheet last weekend against Chelsea, and has recorded an unbelievable five shots on target just in his past two games. The striker makes up for over 20% of Newcastle’s attempts on target this season and looks good value in this bet.

With Paddy Power’s super sub this bet is provided with an extra layer of security, one that will be welcome when backing a player such as Saka who tends to be substituted in the game's latter stages.

The Earner

Porro & Johnson to have a shot, Watkins to have a shot on target, over 2 goals and Tottenham to have the most corners (3/1)

Tottenham against Aston Villa has only increased in importance after both sides dropped points last weekend.

Spurs’ right flank is a particular area of threat for them, especially against Aston Villa with Brennan Johnson netting against them last season. The Welshman is Tottenham’s top shot-taker, averaging 3.67 and should comfortably achieve a shot on Sunday.

Pedro Porro took on three shots from right-back in this fixture at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last campaign and is averaging 1.9 shots per game so far this season.

Ollie Watkins may have the in-from Jhon Duran pressuring him for his starting spot but the England international remains potent in front of goal, already recording five goals this season and with an average of 1.45 shots on target per 90, the ex-Brentford striker looks the most likely to have a shot on goal in this clash.

Goals haven’t been hard to come by in this fixture in recent history, with each of the past three meetings ending with at least three goals being scored. A high-importance encounter partnered with Spurs’ high line often means drama.

As for corners, Tottenham have the second-highest tally in the division (84), comfortably beating Aston Villa’s number of 49.

The Long Shot (10/1)

Eberechi Eze to score from outside the box (10/1)

This bet should have been a winner last time we suggested earlier in the season with the referee harshly blowing his whistle early despite Eze’s freekick rippling the back of the net.

Stats suggest however that the Crystal Palace midfield dynamo should have plenty of chances to score from range in the Eagles’ clash with Wolves on Saturday.

Wolves, despite overturning a two goal lead last weekend, remain shaky defensively and out of form which should offer Eze plenty of chances on goal from open play.

The England international has taken on the 3rd most shots in the entire Premier League this season, having four efforts on goal against Tottenham last weekend alone, with three of the shots coming from outside of the box.

Eze also remains Crystal Palace’s freekick taker. The Eagles’ hosts on Saturday, Wolves, have recorded the 33rd most fouls in the Premier League this season, which should offer Eberechi Eze plenty of chances to replicate his spectacular free kick against Brentford.

The Accumulator - (14/1)

Manchester City & Everton to win, Nottingham Forest v West Ham to be a draw (14/1)

Manchester City travel to Bournemouth on Saturday in a bid to extend their win streak in the Premier League to four. The Vitality Stadium has proved itself to be a tricky place to play but anything greater than 1/2 can be deemed good value to back City to win.

Sean Dyche’s Everton appear to be finding a bit of form as the Toffee’s drag themselves away from the bottom three. The Blues haven’t tasted defeat in their past three games with Dyche’s old-school tactical approach weilding the capability to capitalise on Russell Martin’s high possession, but low xG, style of football that is struggling to transfer to the Premier League.

Both Nottingham Forest and West Ham United have had the entire week to prepare for this fixture having both exited the Carabao Cup, unlike most Premier League teams.

At 5/2 a draw looks great value as red-hot Nottingham Forest host West Ham United, who aren’t quite producing outstanding performances, but will be feeling lighter after a victory at home to Manchester United.

Nottingham Forest’s form could well cancel out the greater quality of West Ham in this clash. No one has more draws in the Premier League so far this season than the hosts with another level affair very much a possibility here.
