Our tips will consist of the following categories:

·   The Banker – A bet with shorter odds that is typically, statistically, more likely to happen.

·   The Earner – An upgrade on the banker that holds more potential profit, at a greater risk.

·   The Long Shot – A bet with longer odds that aims to secure significant profit but as the name suggests, is often difficult to pull off.

·   The Accumulator – A combination of often shorter odd bets to create a longer, more profitable accumulator.

The Banker - (21/20)

Mohamed Salah & Chris Wood both to have a shot on target (21/20)

Despite defeating the Reds back in early September, Nottingham Forest remain the only team to defeat Liverpool this Premier League season, meeting Slot’s men at home this time around in order to solidify their credentials as top-four candidates.

This bet was comfortably a winner in the reverse fixture, and whilst Chris Wood was substituted after 81 minutes back in Gameweek 4, the New Zealand talisman still recorded a shot on target and is averaging 1.09 shots on target per 90 this season, with his goal haul of 12 goals already this season speaking for itself.

Wood has also scored in back-to-back Premier League games, whilst additionally being handed a rest this weekend as Forest swept aside Luton in the FA Cup.

Mohamed Salah was also gifted a weekend off as Liverpool made no mistake in throwing Accrington Stanley out of the cup, providing the perfect modern-day ending on that legendary milk advert.

The Egyptian is on a goalscoring run of his own, netting in all of his past four Premier League games, as well as averaging 1.78 shots on target per 90 this season, making him the 3rd highest shot on target taker in the league this season. Salah also tested the hands of Matz Sels twice the last time these two faced each other.

The Earner - (15/4)

Yoane Wissa to have a shot on target, Erling Haaland to score & Manchester City to have the most corners (15/4)

Manchester City are quietly returning to their rampant form that has become the expectation of them for the past six years, securing three impressive wins on the bounce, with Erling Haaland scoring three goals in the Citizen's previous two Premier League wins, raising his goal tally to 16 for the season and making him good value to score against Brentford who currently hold the 4th worst defensive record in the league.

Yoane Wissa continues to lead the Bees shot on target leaderboard though with the 28-year-old averaging an impressive 1.31 shots on target per 90 this season. Thomas Frank’s men will be keen to put on a front footed display after being dumped out the FA Cup at home to Championship strugglers, Plymouth.

Manchester City remain dominant in corner statistics too this season, averaging 8.1 corners per game (the highest in the Premier League) and a far superior figure to Brentford’s average of 4.45 per game.

The Long Shot - (11/1)

Mikel Merino & Lucas Bergvall to both be shown a card (11/1)

One thing the North London always promises is plenty of bite, as proven by the eight bookings brandished in the reverse fixtures, as well as the seven yellow cards awarded at the Emirates last season.

Mikel Merino is likely to be part of Arsenal’s makeshift midfield with Jorginho limping off against Manchester United, it’s expected the Spaniard will have to play this derby clash and could have his hands full with the likes of Lucas Bergvall and Dejan Kulusevski running at him, both of whom lead Tottenham’s stats for fouls drawn with Bergvall drawing 2.5 fouls per 90 and Kulusevski drawing 1.69.

Merino has been booked twice in his seven Premier League starts and could easily be drawn into the expected feistiness that this game will bring.

Lucas Bergvall’s name has been synonymous with yellow cards given the controversy around the Swede’s winner in the first leg of the Carabao Cup against Liverpool, as many believed the teenager should have been shown a second yellow.

Bergvall was shown four yellow cards in succession back in December with many coming from late tackles out of frustration, the 18-year-old will be expected to be in the centre of the fray in Wednesday with another yellow card being a decent bet.

The Accumulator - (9/1)

West Ham, Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Manchester United all to win (9/1)

Graham Potter may have been dealt a loss upon his arrival at the Hammers, although the ex-Chelsea boss had hardly got his feet under the table and was up against a robust Aston Villa side in the FA Cup.

A home meeting with Fulham, who have drawn both their last two Premier League games, one of which was at home to relegation-fighting Ipswich, could be the perfect welcome for Potter to life at the London Stadium.

Crystal Palace managed to provide some rest for the likes of Mateta, Mitchell and Henderson in the FA Cup and face a Leicester side who may have beaten a rotated QPR side 6-2, but continue to struggle in the league with their goalfest win on Saturday reflecting their defensive insuffiencies as much as it did their attacking strengths.

After a sluggish start to the season, Newcastle have astonishingly transformed into the form team in the Premier League, winning all of their last six Premier League games and all of their past eight in all competitions.

The Magpies’ opponents, Wolves, snuck past Bristol City on Saturday with a heavy loss to Nottingham Forest perhaps suggesting the new manager bounce of Vitor Periera may be beginning to fade.

Manchester United’s spirited performance against Arsenal has provided fans of the Red Devils renewed hope that they can climb back up the table with a home fixture to rock-bottom Southampton surely being the perfect moment builder.
